Spend the afternoon. You can't take it with you.

Leia is one of those souls that I knew would be perfect for a creative portrait session. She has a sharp, witty mind. She's got striking features, reminscient of Lorde. And most importantly, she is mom to one of the most precious pups ever, Stella.
I went over to Leia's to pick up Stella for a fun dogsitting weekend (I love pretending I'm a dog-owner and strutting around the Belt Line accepting compliments 'why thank you, she certainly is precious isn't she'). I already knew I wanted to take photos of Leia, but then I was struck by her beautiful home and knew we had to capture her there. She'd just moved into this beautiful place next to Piedmont, with gorgeous windows everywhere.
Between our crazy schedules, we finally found a time that worked and thank goodness. Working with Leia was such a singular experience - it really is incredible how natural some people are in front of the camera, channeling motion and expressions. Even more so, working with someone who appreciates light and shadows similarly is a true gift. So excited to share some of the magic that is Leia in front of the lens; enjoy this small glimpse into our session.
