We cannot all be artists
and I must admit I do not know how to paint.
But if I were to take a palette,
all my colors would be of you.

Oh, this couple and this place. Melly, Teddy, and good ole RMNP. My best friend Camilla and I were planning a trip to Yosemite in 2018 when her sister, Malin, and Malin's boyfriend (at the time hehe) decided to join us. Unbeknownst to Melly, Ted was scheming up a proposal with the help of Cam. As expected, I inserted myself into the plan as the photographer. And at the close of our first full day in Yosemite, after waking up before dawn to run a half marathon and a full day of exploring the park, Teddy dropped down to one knee on a cliff and asked Malin to be his wife.

With the two of them living in Colorado, I wanted to capture these two out in the mountains. On my way back from Banff, I made a pitstop in Denver to explore RMNP with these two. Rocky Mountain National Park holds such a special place in my heart. I've visited semi-regularly since 2006, and it never fails to take my breath away. It was the best time with Malin and Teddy, saying little weather prayers in our heads, getting silly for photos. The weather was a hot mess that day, and as it got colder and rainier we almost gave up hope for a mountain sunset. Thankfully, we persevered to the top and watched nature put on a stunning show to end the day.
