Live in the sunshine. Swim in the sea. Drink the wild air.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
My people are the best people, bar none. One of my oldest friends, Michelle, got engaged to her soulmate, Jonathan, in the fall. I got to be in on the proposal as the photographer, and we later took some save the date photos in Atlanta.
It didn't take too much convincing to get Michelle and Jonathan to take me camping. Especially with the stress of wedding planning (them) and nonstop work (me). But I don't think any of us were expecting the mountains of North Carolina to be so freaking breathtaking. The light peeked through the clouds, catching on the mountains so perfectly.
There are few things better than being surrounded by dogs, beautiful mountains, the smell of campfire, catching the sunset, and sleeping under the stars. If I could live anywhere, I'd move to Colorado because the Rockies are my everything, but the Appalachians are beginning to nestle their way into my heart. Max Patch magic, friends.
